I got interested in finance during college when I realized how a few small, smart decisions early in life can completely change a family's trajectory over generations. I watched a close family member navigate a complex financial situation, and I saw how much stress it caused. While money isn't everything, financial literacy is a form of empowerment. I wanted to be the person who provides that clarity.
I've been working in the financial industry for almost two years now, starting at Sovita Credit Union before joining Dort Financial Investment Services. I graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and an Undergraduate Certificate in Essentials of Business Analytics. I also hold a State Life, Health, and Accident Insurance License. My role is to support Drew Goodrich and Eric Souder's practice and make sure every client interaction is seamless and efficient.
What I focus on is concierge-level client communication and problem-solving. Whether it's helping with digital portal access, coordinating scheduling, managing account maintenance, or handling distributions, I'm the primary point of contact for day-to-day needs. I believe that high-quality service is just as important as the financial strategy itself. What I enjoy most about this work is building long-term relationships with clients. Finance is deeply personal, and I appreciate when clients call during their biggest life transitions, like buying a home or preparing for retirement.
One of the most fascinating parts of my job is hearing the unique life stories behind the numbers. Every client has a different journey and a different set of values. Getting to know their families and hearing about their personal milestones makes the work feel much more meaningful.
I'm originally from Durand, a small town where everyone looks out for each other. Growing up in that environment shaped my perspective on the importance of building strong relationships in my professional life. I recently achieved a personal milestone by purchasing my first home in Gaines. I love the country setting and the sense of peacefulness it brings, which provides a perfect balance to busy workdays.
Outside of work, I'm a big fan of the outdoors and love staying active throughout the seasons. You can find me riding side-by-sides, spending time out on the lake, or snowmobiling in the winter. My parents have been my biggest supporters through my college journey and my career goals, and they're the foundation of my success.
